Gideon - Jacquelyn Frank There is something about this authors writing that must not click with me. When there is action and adventure – I am enthralled. But otherwise the writing is so mundane that I want to put the book down. How is that possible? One minute I am thinking great book. The next WTF? And her love scenes are so long – and not in a good way. They make me want to just skip to the end. And who wants to skip the love scenes? But it’s hard to rate the book bad because the story is a good one, and at times exciting. Maybe I’m just used to a different type of writing and can’t get into the rhythm.
